And the self-education begins ...

My copy of Teach yourself visually HTML5 arrived this morning. Played around with it a bit at lunchtime using a copy of a simple instruction page on my work webpage and managed to make the text go invisible almost immediately, followed by the background colour vanishing when I redid that code.

I think a bit more reading may be necessary ... ;p

Edited to add: Amazing what progress can be made in the peace and quiet of home and with a remote connection to one's work computer ... text and background colour have been re-visibled (turned out I just needed to reposition a code in the internal CSS) and that copy of the instruction page is now THE official first html5 section of the webpage!!! (which means, since I formatted all the subpages identically to keep the whole thing as simple as possible, I can just copy/paste what I've figured out into the rest. Yay!). Now all I gotta do is figure out how to replace frames with something from THIS century ... ;p
