Some holiday reading arrived on my desk today! The Dodo and the Solitaire. From a quick flip-through, looks like it has a pleasantly readable style and the plates section appears to contain every known painting/drawing by artists who actually saw the birds. Plus, if I want to further challenge my brain, the second to-my-desk delivery today was Terry Pratchett's A Blink of the Screen. Between these and the rest of the to-read pile I think I've got enough print entertainment to last me through the darkest part of the winter. :-)
