One of those days ...

... where I'm ready to SWEAR the entire universe is conspiring to keep me from getting any of MY work done at work; instead I was investigating, troubleshooting, answering questions, and trying not to kill anyone involved ... the latter, successfully, I'm happy to to report (so far, anyway). And then took relaxing knitting to morning coffee break and ended up two stitches out (and not enough time left to figure it out ... probably better to tackle that at home without anyone talking to me)

On the plus side, TWO new books were delivered unto my desk: Anthony Bidulka's Flight of Aquavit (second book in his Russell Quant series), and Henry Petroski's The Pencil (I adore Petroski ... he makes ordinary things magical). My depleted to-read pile is building up again very nicely ... I like having lots of choices in that stack. Gotta be able to match my recreational reading to both mood and current mental ability (or lack thereof, depending on what kind of day it's been).
