In all its glory ...

Calliope's Odyssey, completed. This is a Faroese-style shawl based on a traditional shape from Faroe Islands ... a scoop for the back of the neck flanked by two outward curves for the shoulders (sometimes incorporating 3D shoulder "darts"), and a central back panel descending from the neck shaping and flanked by curved wings that come to points. This nifty bit of engineering means that the shawl will stay on without pinning, tying, or clutching (triangular shawls generally will not stay on a moving human for more than a few minutes without some means of fastening)
