Another unlaxing weekend ...

... spent feasting on a stash of clementines (not often available here), ignoring any household chores beyond the minimum required for sustenance, and mainly continuing with re-reading C.J. Cherryh's "Foreigner series ... am now several chapters into "Defender", which is volume five (a most felicitious number according to the books themselves)

Have also been giving "Bleak Expectations" a second listen ... as with most good series, I'm discovering new hilarious bits with this time 'round; not because I wasn't listening the first time, but because it's just crammed so full of good stuff that the mind simply can't take it all in at once (and because of the fun of trying to identify all the 19th-century fiction references within the show ... does the evil Mr. Benevolent's temporary incarnation as a vampire pigeon represent "Dracula"?)
