Doomed again ...

I'm going to have to buy some Blickfang ... saw it at the yarn shop opening I went to in June and have kept thinking about it all summer ... it's just so fascinating-looking as well as having those delicious rich colours. (and at least I can now "justify" it because I found a sweater pattern in one of my magazines that I a) have really liked since I first saw it a couple of years ago, and b) requires yarn with some texture in exactly the size of the Blackfang. Definitely fated to be.

Am now about halfway through my Earth Maiden shawl ... those Darn Pretty Needles make the 323-stitch rows just zoom by! (I already knew that buying the best tools and materials one can manage makes a huge difference to any activity, but the DPNs are exceeding that knowledge)
