Saw an incredibly beautiful hijab on the way home tonight (and I see a lot of fabric-covetingly stunning ones here so this one was an extreme standout: thin velvety black fabric on the border between opaque and translucent, patterned with glittering silver butterflies and fastened on one temple with a diamanté pin. Sparkled so much in the sun that I was half-convinced, until I caught up with the wearer at the traffic lights, that there were tiny LEDs in the cloth.

I love living in a multicultural city. :-)
