Our little moment of warmth that was supposed to happen today, didn't ... we reached a marvelous high of -15C instead of the predicted -5C. Next "moment" is scheduled for next Wednesday. Getting very tired of wearing the same few warm garments to work and feeling very inspired about producing a gansey/Cousin Nalgar** hybrid for next winter (waiting for the book that'll tell me how to "nalgar" to arrive)
**Cousin Nalgar is a reverse raglan sleeve shaping invented by Elizabeth Zimmermann ... instead of the seam going from underarm inward to the neck opening as in a traditional raglan, the nalgar seamline (or, rather, fake seamline ... this is sewing-avoidance Zimmermann's invention, so it's knitted seamlessly in the round) travels diagonally outward, with fronts and backs meeting to form a point partway down the upper arm.
