Home for keeps (for a while)

I think this was the earliest Christmas Eve send-home** we've had in the time I've worked where I work. Staff were summoned together at 10:45 a.m. for the thanks for your hard work this year, happy holidays, go home, have fun, don't come back until January speech. :-) So now just have to lay in a few more minor food supplies so that I don't have to go near a store until the crazed after-Christmas bargain shoppers thin out, and then it's R&R until January 10, 2011! (Well, actually, my personal copy of the RDA primer arrived today, so there may be some work-related reading in there, but bear in mind that even this is R&R for me; if I had a private income of some kind, I'd still be out there cataloguing purely for the fun and challenge of it ... just not quite so early in the morning ***GRIN***)

**The way the boss was bouncing around like an excited three-year-old at the team leader meeting earlier this week it honestly wouldn't have surprised me if she'd been at the front door at 7:30 a.m., telling people to turn around and go home ... ;-)

P.S. Added in case anybody was so bored that they were curious about what RDA is.
