Just finished ...

... watching Capitaine Alatriste for the very first time. WOW!!! pretty much sums it up ... well worth the four-year wait to see it (would have been terrible to anticipate for that long and have the thing turn out to be substandard). Hopefully will have a chance for second viewing this weekend ... having to split attention between picture and subtitles guarantees I'll see something new every time. And now can't wait for the sixth novel to be released in English ... eager to read the details of some events near the end of the film.

Was picking up more Spanish words than I would have expected, and not necessarily words that are similar to French either ... must be a side effect of hearing conversations between co-workers from Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.
