Sock progress

Further on the road to a drawerful of custom-knit foot coverings. The Jitterbug yarn (top photo) is absolute heaven to the touch and to knit with ... part of me is wondering why I let it sit in the stash so long (actually, I know why ... it comes in hanks and needed to be wound into balls before I could knit it), but the rest of me is glad I delayed until I found the just-right pattern (these aren't plain stockinette stitch ... look carefully and you'll see something a little different starts to happen in the ribbing and is carrying on into the leg of the sock)

Lower photo is me using up the last two skeins of my Kaffe Fassett 6-ply for a heavier pair of Pine Tree Socks ... far enough along now that the first tree is nearly completed (special details are tiny cables within the ribbing and running down each side of the sock)

And now, back to the needles!
