Progress on several fronts ...

Got both heels turned on Mom's socks, which means well past the halfway mark on those and she should actually get 'em while it's still winter!

There's something magical about turning a sock heel ... you're cruising along making a 2-dimensional fabric, then, by adding a few stitches and then subtracting an equal number in a different spot, you've suddenly got a 3-dimensional shape on one side that fits 'round the human heel perfectly.

And on the front side, onwards into diamond #6 and down the foot towards the toes.

Not as much done on my own current pair because I'm only picking them up when I start getting too tired to keep track of the stitch pattern on Mom's ... mine are nicely mindless knit stitch 'round and 'round and 'round ...

And the earliest sign of those extra few minutes of daylight ... the first baby shamrocks of the year safely surrounded by their elders.
