Finis! part two!

Another pair of anti-SAD socks. With enough yarn left for a second pair. :-) With this pair, I feel as if I've finally mastered sockmaking ... the previous ones fit nicely enough, but the fabric doesn't completely spring back when I take them off. With this pair I dropped down to a 2 mm needle and then followed the directions for a larger size to compensate ... result is a slightly denser fabric full of "sproing" that stretches to fit snugly and springs back to its pre-stretch dimensions immediately on removal. Perfect! Now that I've finally got my personal ideal gauge, I can do more playing around with patterns if I ... y'know ... buy some plainer yarns that would actually let a pattern show ... ;p
