There are three big jackrabbits resting on the other side of the courtyard (just slightly too distant for a decent photo), carefully arranged in a triangle and all facing outward so that each of them pretty much has its back to the other two. Something I've seen them do before when they're evenly matched in territorial blustering and can't chase each other away ... they'll operate on an elaborate "if I can't see him he isn't there" principle rather than back down or retreat ***GRIN***

All three are vividly snowy white against the exposed brownish green grass, but showing the faintest signs of beginning to darken on the face and around the ears.
