Another option for those too long a day to cook when I get home days ...

Newly discovered (by me, anyway) in the grocery on the weekend ... Knorr is now marketing a line of side dish "mixes". Seeing as it was Knorr, I was certainly willing to give 'em a shot, as their soups and sauces have always tasted homemade rather than out of a packet (I DO miss their single-mug soup mixes, as they were the perfect work stash for days when lunch needed supplementing), and I wasn't disappointed. Unlike most packaged sides, these actually contain a fair amount of recognizable vegetables instead of the usual few token specks of colour. Have already sampled the Cheddar Rice With Broccoli and Carrots over the weekend and am currently cooking up the Santa Fe Style Rice for tonight. The Cheddar Rice was delicious and the Santa Fe Rice is smelling absolutely divine ... shall report if it lives up to its scent after dinner.

These were the only two available in my local grocery at the time ... I shall certainly be keeping an eye out for the other three mixes ... YUM!!!

P.S. Also gave one of Knorr's fairly-new-to-shelves frozen entrées a try recently ... pretty sure it was the Chicken, Rigatoni & Broccoli. Also very good ... if I have to resort to packaged food, I'll go for Knorr whenever possible ... their stuff has all the proper texture and flavour that you'd expect from home cooking. :d

UPDATE: Santa Fe Rice = scrumptious!!! (though I wish it had a few more beans in it)
