A work in progress ... the "Roundtrip" jacket

Documenting the unusual construction of a current knitting project ... am loving the yarn and the fact that this sucker requires zero seaming. And enjoying how strange it looks, compared to standard sweater construction, at this stage ... the panel in the centre is the back, which was knitted first, followed by the surrounding oval which is the collar and front and bottom bands (it's knitted at right angles to the back where it joins, with a stitch apiece from back and band being knitted together to "sew" the sections together. Next phase: picking up stitches from all 'round those two big holes and knitting them out in tubes, like socks, to form the sleeves. Seaming-hater that I am, I can see myself making more of these. :-)

Note: this picture is nowhere near colour-true ... shall take a proper one using daylight when it's finished.
