Food report to be added to this spot later!
EDIT: Sadly, this restaurant doesn't have a website so I can't torment you with an online menu. Wine (a French Chardonnay) was excellent, Caesar salad was tasty but unusual and a challenge to eat (greens whole instead of torn and paper-thing slices of crispy bread lacy with air holes instead of croutons ... the trick being to break 'em into bite-sized pieces with the fork and then get a tine through one of the holes to pick it up), seared duck was of a perfect pinkness (and how very nice to be asked whether I wanted it pink, medium, or well-done) and side was yummy (unusual combination of carrots and beets and squishy white things that I can't recall what they were ... this is why online menus are so HANDY). Dessert was banana bread pudding with ice cream and rum sauce. :d
And the company, of course, very very good (the fun people from both workplaces are ones who turn up at this). Only downside was that, as the restaurant filled up later in the evening, it became difficult to hear conversation more than a person or two away at our long table of twelve (no music, thank goodness ... just lots of people talking and not the greatest acoustics in the world)
