'cause you can never have too many ...

According to MAI (our inventory and invoicing control system) only one copy of Pérez-Reverte's The Painter of Battles was going into the showrooms and I got it! (don't know why only one copy ... guessing that we might order hotlist by the carton instead of the copy and this was all that was left over after customer orders were filled) Must have got my hands on it within minutes of it being shelved too, as T. had checked the showroom for it, on my behalf, on her lunch half an hour previously and it wasn't there then.

Also spotted and bought Kaffe Knits Again ... a collection of revamped versions of designs from his earlier books, which I own (but hey, they're revamped, there are a few new ones scattered among the old, and, dammit, one HAS to have all Kaffe Fassett's books, just on principle, 'cause he's fun! As well as being a prime example of how one can unexpectedly become a raving success story by taking up a hobby alongside one's chosen profession)

Gotta do some errandy things first, but hope to start into the Pérez-Reverte tonight (certain authors ALWAYS get to jump the to-read queue). :-)
