Alibris

I have a vague idea that I've mentioned the Alibris service before in this journal ... then again, I could be hallucinating. :P While I was familiar with the company through TV commercials, etc., I just did my first thorough digging around in the site tonight ... and found four out-of-print titles from my personal wishlist, at REASONABLE-TO-CHEAP prices, that I've not been able to locate in any other used bookstore, RL or online (okay, one was available at Amazon for a hideously inflated price, which, as far as I'm concerned, counts as unavailable). Have ordered the two volumes that are only available in England and the shipping isn't much more than I'd pay to get something from this side of the Atlantic!

Alibris is an online one-stop shopping site for secondhand book, movie and music dealers in North America and the United Kingdom ... you can comparison shop for prices and condition, place one order and your goodies will arrive direct from the dealers! I'll let you know how fast (site said shipping in 4-6 weeks for my stuff) my goodies arrive!
