Robinson Crusoe on Mars is coming out on DVD in September!!!!! Yes, tacky-sounding title I know, but behind that lurks a downright decent little film ... Paul Mantee's stranded astronaut doing his damnedest to survive low oxygen, cold nights, food and water shortages, and, most of all, loneliness is well worth seeing (admittedly gets a tad over the top when "Friday" arrives, but a goodly chunk of the movie is Mantee on his own and damned fine stuff). ***hastily wishlists for future purchase***

P.S. An interesting analysis of the movie here ... it did stand out from the aliens'n'rayguns flicks of the time. :-)
