A bit o' fun ...

There are quite a few good online jigsaw puzzle sites, but The Daily Jigsaw is at the top of my list right now. The cuts aren't spectacularly difficult (or easy), and the images are usually interesting. But the folk behind the scenes do a few unique things to make their product stand out. Sometimes image colours are switched, correcting themselves as you link pieces together (e.g. each sky piece might be dark brown, but when you connect two they change to blue). Sometimes, like today (Sept. 7), the pieces feature giant pixels which resolve down to the proper detail when pieces are linked.

I've been playing with jigsaws for most of my life and was tackling my mother's 500-piece puzzles at age five, so I really appreciate these little added twists that add challenge to a nice little ten-to-fifteen-minute-brain-unwinder. Plus there's that satisfying little "click" sound effect as each piece joins ... makes you feel like you're REALLY accomplishing something. (which feels really GOOD at the end of "one of those days" ***GRIN***)

C'mon in and play!
