The Librarian

The cure for grumbly growls

Came home from work today in a mood bordering on foul ... library software crashed twice today, server #1 crashed once (library software is on server #2, but all Internet access, which library software needs to link to, e-mail, library dial-up connections, etc. all route through #1), Internet continued to operate at snail's pace for rest of day (which is tremendously frustrating when one's brain is wide-awake and wanting to accomplish work at high speed), numerous little interruptions, and so on and so on. Oh, and there's more snow coming overnight. :-((((((

And then I open my e-mail, see friends' names in the inbox and they all manage to put the smile back on my face.

THANK YOU!!!!!! :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Progress of a sort

I've managed to find a positive side to the recent wintry weather:

During a nasty patch of cold temperatures I bought fleecy fabric to add to my warm top wardrobe. Last cold snap, I was inspired to pin the pattern and cut out the pieces. As of tonight, all that's left is to finish the hems. And then, when it's completed, if Murphy's law runs true to form, it'll be too darn warm to wear it for the next two years.

Guess I'd better get a couple of warm weather garments started ... just in case. :p
