Knitting progress ...

The one-round-of-stitches-per-coffee-break socks are finally finished! Bound them off Tuesday night; just a shame that they're too warm to wear this week. Topped them with brioche stitch instead of the more-usual ribbing; brioche looks kinda like ribbing until one takes a closer look, but is much stretchier than ribbing. Because this yarn had more yardage than most sock-intended skeins, the socks are taller than I usually make them and thus encircling a thicker part of my calf … hence the need for a bit more stretch so they don't feel like a tourniquet.

And, of course, I needed a new coffee break project …
