Calgary Spring Fibre Fair loot!

Another gathering of local fibre makers/sellers here yesterday. Came home with two skeins of Heart West Haven 100% Local Merino Wool (sheared from the vendor's own sheep, then handspun and dyed by her), plus a large handthrown mug from her boothmate, Diamond Clay Studios (I like big mugs = fewer trips for refulls + greater volume while not much more surface than regular mugs and slight potbelly shape means drinks retain heat longer). The two "beige" skeins are A & B Fiberworks Silk & Camel Blend Yarn (70% silk/30% camel) ... very soft and smooth to the touch.

This fibre fair was in a side tent at a permanent market that I hadn't realized was so quick/easy to get to on city transit, so also came home with fresh broccoli, rainbow carrots, giant navel oranges, and apples. Will be going back there more regularly now that I know it takes only half an hour to get there if I time the train and bus right; the fantastic produce is worth the trip. :-) This entry was originally posted at https://jlsjlsjls.dreamwidth.org/1372852.html.
