Calgary Spring Fibre Fair loot!
Another gathering of local fibre makers/sellers here yesterday. Came home with two skeins of Heart West Haven 100% Local Merino Wool (sheared from the vendor's own sheep, then handspun and dyed by her), plus a large handthrown mug from her boothmate, Diamond Clay Studios (I like big mugs = fewer trips for refulls + greater volume while not much more surface than regular mugs and slight potbelly shape means drinks retain heat longer). The two "beige" skeins are A & B Fiberworks Silk & Camel Blend Yarn (70% silk/30% camel) ... very soft and smooth to the touch.

This fibre fair was in a side tent at a permanent market that I hadn't realized was so quick/easy to get to on city transit, so also came home with fresh broccoli, rainbow carrots, giant navel oranges, and apples. Will be going back there more regularly now that I know it takes only half an hour to get there if I time the train and bus right; the fantastic produce is worth the trip. :-) This entry was originally posted at https://jlsjlsjls.dreamwidth.org/1372852.html. Re: It's Tammy aka Black Sheep Goods

Thanks. Was pretty yarned out after last month's fibre event but there's always something too pretty to pass up. Plus there was getting to go and yarn geek with friend who was unable to make it to the April show. And the rest of the market ...

It was a good day. :-)
