In today's instalment of his blog, Gordon Reid shares how knitting contributed to the success of Apollo moon landings. No, this is not a joke. I was already aware of the parallel between knitting and binary (knit = 1 and purl = 0) and there are numerous binary-themed/based knitting patterns, but this one was new to me.

And I got my copy of Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible today ... now this is binary that could likely say screw lightspeed and get us to the other side of the Milky Way in a few hours. ;-)
