Something for aspiring science fiction writers ...

A very interesting interview of Mike Resnick in the current issue of Galaxy's Edge. Especially the final third, where he talks about helping new authors get into print as his way of paying forward in a genre that's been good to and for him.

Also what he has to say about his Africa-inspired writing; I can honestly say that "Ivory" triggers every possible emotion every time I re-read it and "Paradise" ... well, "Paradise" requires a box of tissues on standby (and I'm not a person easily brought to tears by what she reads or watches)**

If you've not read Resnick maybe it's time to start. ;-)

**I've read lots more of Resnick's African books than these, but this pair were the first and they dug tendrils deep into much-younger-me and left 'em there.
