Knitting progress

Socks with clocks and the beginnings of gussets. The latter of which you can't really see here, but trust me, I've started 'em. Gussets are something you don't get in commercially-made socks ... they're special adjustments to the shape of the sock to create a better fit around the changing shape/proportions of the foot where the instep rises just before the leg. And gussets are also the reason that commercial socks feel distractingly malformed and binding across the instep after one has been wearing handknits.
