Virtually done! - The Bibliophile
Too busy reading most likely ...
Virtually done!
Well, bound off at least (and without screwing up any more stitch counts) ... still need to weave in ends and block but I need to decide how I want to do the latter. Doesn't really require the "rack" as there's no lace involved ... it'll lie flat beautifully as is and currently has a lovely 3D effect in the two-colour segments with the red "frames" standing out above the green "panes." And it's a nice size. Designer says it can be blocked out huge if desired (the nature of the garter stich it's mainly in ... very self-compressing when left alone but able to stretch from here to eternity if pulled on). So need to ponder that a bit ... racked will be bigger but thinner with minimized 3D effect, unracked is thicker/squooshier and more sculpted.

BTW, in photos the red looks dominant to the green but in RL they're equal. And the green refuses to photograph true ... it's actually an amazing mix of bluegreen, kelly green, moss green, teal, turquoise, and navy (that last occasionally shades into near-black in places)

And now to decide which of my next! candidates gets to go on the needles in replacement; top contenders have been Brightness and Contrast, Slain, or Geology, but now, fresh from my first Ryks' and his great eye for details I'm tempted to start his Steelcity instead. But in Stonechat or Dewberry?

('tis a new universal truth that for every theme/interest, there's a knit or crochet pattern ***GRIN***)
