Well that came together VERY nicely ...

Mentioned already that I'd purchased this handspun yarn from Laura Chau and it had arrived in my mailbox on Friday. And have been trying to decide what to do with it, knowing that whatever I make MUST use every possible centimetre of this luscious, one-of-a-kind skein. Can't be overly lacy because lace patterning gets lost in variegated yarn and beautiful colour variegations get lost in lace ... definitely a lose-lose situation.

And then, this morning, just a few minutes ago, I remembered that I bought this Laura Chau pattern a couple of years ago: Milkweed Shawl. Absolutely perfect: lots of solid fabric with just a dash of simple lace here and there ... ideal to show off the yarn. And it's only right that yarn and pattern created by the same person should go together. :-)
