You'll have to picture it deeper now ... the stuff's been coming down all day (and still is)

On the plus side, at least it's not cold enough to make trees explode (no, that's not a joke ... a few years ago we had a drastic temperature plummet after the trees had leafed out, sap, like water, expands as it freezes, and ... well ... let's just say it's amazing how loudly and far huge branches under pressure can travel)

Yeah. Skiers, snowmobilers, curlers, hockey players, broomball players, ice climbers ...

It's a vicious cycle. They try a winter sport once, get frost on the brain that gives 'em a high, wish for more snow/cold to do it again, get more brainfrost, and so on and so on and so on ... ;p
