A Canadian classic ...

I first saw The Frantics perform this sketch at The Change of Pace, a tiny coffee/wine bar over a retail store in London (Ontario, not England) during my first year of college (was either November or December 1980). After all these years I still think this is the BEST (and most imaginative) alien special effect EVER!

Canadian entertainment trivia for ya: Frantics member Dan Redican (not onstage in this sketch) went on to produce/occasionally cameo in "The Kids in the Hall" and "Little Mosque on the Prairie" and to star in "Puppets Who Kill"

P.S. Sadly, the other outstanding sketch that I remember from that night, "The Man Who Invented LSD", doesn't appear to be online (yet, anyway). Pity.
